All About Wall Planters

Wall planters can be used by us at any place where we want to add it. It can be attached to the wall or any erect place.

What are wall planters and what do they do

By definition, a wall planter is any type of container attached to a vertical surface (such as a fence or wall). You can either attach it to your garden or bedroom wall, or you can hang it from the ceiling. The main purpose of these planters is to allow you to add flowers and nice-looking plants indoors without having the plant encroaching on the floor space. They’re also designed for convenience: unlike traditional hanging baskets which often require you to water them while keeping them in an upright position, wall planters need only be watered every other day while their design allows them to drain excess water and stay clean and dry at all times.

The different types of wall planters available

There are three main types of wall planters: the simplex (also called the single-pot), double, and triple:

The Simplex or Single Wall Planter

This is a traditional hanging basket design with only one pot attached to the wall. Simplex designs can be made from wood, wrought iron, metal, fiberglass, or plastic.

The Drawbacks:

As you would expect from such a basic design, there aren’t any frills or special features to speak of; these baskets also don’t allow you to add too much weight to them as they won’t be able to support it easily. Furthermore, because their design is simplistic (a single pot attached to a single hook), you’ll have to get more of these if you want to add more variety of color.

Double Wall Planters

These are essentially two simplex plan hooks on top of each other, with the lower one being slightly smaller than the upper one. This way, when you place the different planters in layers (with the lip at the bottom and an opening in the front), it will make for a very minimalistic but still stylish design choice.

The Drawbacks:

because both pots are usually made from either plastic or fiberglass, they can break easily if not handled with care; this is particularly true when they’re empty (and when they’re heavy with soil and water), which means that you’ll need to be extra careful when you’re transporting the different planters from one place to another.

Triple Wall Planters

if double-wall planters don’t suit your fancy, then try out triple wall planters instead (also called pyramid or obelisk). These usually consist of three hanging pots: two smaller ones at the top and a larger one in between them. Like their double counterparts, these wall planters allow you to add more color and variety without taking up too much space; in addition, they can also help reduce winds thanks to the larger pot in the middle stabilizing everything.

The Drawbacks:

much like double-wall baskets, triple designs can break easily especially when empty; additionally, they may also require more than one person for installation so keep this in mind if you’re planning to DIY.

Tips on getting the best wall planter for your home

Before making a purchase, here are some tips that you can take into account:

Tip #1: Measure the Amount of Surface Area

If you’re not sure how much wall space you have available to hang your chosen planters, there’s no harm in measuring the area first. Using a measuring tape and/or ruler will help you do so; just be sure to note down this number as it’ll help determine the size of your chosen product (as well as how many planters you can hang at once).

Tip #2: Know where to place it

Depending on your space, you’ll want to place the hanging basket in the right area. Since these are generally meant for indoor use, placing them outside will not only lead to rust but also damage due to nature’s elements; conversely, putting planters inside an enclosed area while there is no sun or proper ventilation may cause mold and mildew growth which is not good for any home.

Tip #3: Take note of dimensions

Before finalizing a purchase, keep in mind that some wall planters have certain restrictions attached to them. For instance, if they’re small enough to be hung indoors, then they are generally too small to use outside in the garden. Likewise, if you plan on hanging your basket outdoors, it may be best to go with a slightly larger choice so that it’s not easily toppled over by strong winds.

Conclusion

Wall planters are a great way to add some greenery and life to your home or office space. They offer the perfect backdrop for plants, flowers, mosses, ferns, even succulents! You can use them as decor elements in an entryway or living room by placing them on either side of a doorway that leads into the area.
